Pat,I do not have any information concerning your Sarah. However if she was indeed born in Guthrie she would have been right in the mix of the Oklahoma Landrun. The picture from a historical Logan County book shows a picture of Guthrie with land and tents and no buildings to speak of on April 22, 1889. This was right before the boomers ran to stake in land. The history book states there were many groups that tried to colonize and take possession of unassigned lands before 1889. The last attempt being in 1885. They were turned back off the land by Col. Edward Hatch with a force of 600 calvarymen and two cannons and were escorted back to the Kansas line. Congress then took up the issue of the unassigned lands. If your Sara was born before 1889, it would have been difficult for her family to make it into Indian territory before the land run. Hope this helps in some way and I hope you fine out more about your Sarah! God bless and Merry Christmas
