looking for information on st elmo m chastain and his family. only two records I can come up with are his wwII enlistment in 1943 and his death notice (RR Board). He was born on feb. 22, 1913 to william a "chism" chastain and mary frances fulsom in Poteau, LeFlore County, Oklahoma. I can't find him on any census for 1920 or 1930. His family moved back and forth between Oklahoma and Arkansas in the Fort Smith, Arkansas area. William "Chism" Chastain was reported on the 1900 census as a coal miner and on the 190 census as working on an oil rig. I have tried to gain information from various genealogical sites by trying a variety of combinations on St Elmo's names to no avail. I'd like to know to whom he married, where he lived, who his children are. He died in 1992 so I assume his children are still living. He is a distant relative of mine through the Chastain connection. Please reply direct
