John Weese Killed In Late 1890's

Looking for information on the John Weese family in Oklahoma Indian Territory in Le Flore County in the late 1890's. John and wife Nancy Southerland had three little daughters, Claressa,Louisa and Mattie born about 1888, 1890 and 1892. John was said to be a barber who was killed by a stray bullet when cattle drivers, coming home from a long drive were shooting in celebration.

The shooting likely occured between 1891 and 1894.
Would anyone know if there might be microfilmed newspapers from that time ? Or if there could possibly be a record of that event and if so, where is the most likely place it could be found. Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

June
