Aloha from Kimberly's husband's 1st cousin once removed in Hawaii.I have spoke to the two son's of Joseph Troy Baude that are mentioned in the earlier post by Kimberly.I'm also in contact with the eldest son of Joseph Troy Baude and his wife who live in California. They told me that they were visiting the day Troy was shot in Grandma Nellie Hooper Baude Richardson's yard in Spiro.Their daughter was 20 days old the day Troy was shot. She was born Nov 20, 1955.So 20 days later would be Dec 9, 1955.Usually libraries have newspapers on microfilm so if you know the approximate date, the newspaper article on this should be able to be located. Also, you could try and obtain the death certificate for this date. The wife of Troy's eldest son was very positive about the date because her daughter was so young and it was the first time she and her husband had returned to Oklahoma after the Korean War which Troy's eldest son served and was injured in.I have quite a few stories and some pedigree and have returned to Oklahoma to seek my branch of the Baude tree.I hope to be in contact with you folks and will be happy to share any information I have.Mahalo for posting your messages on this forum. We have also been searching for you!
