Columbus Ruben "Rube" Hunt moved to Wilburton, Latimer County, to practice law around 1906. Later, he was for years the county judge. He died in 1941 and is buried in the old City Cemetery in Wilburton.
Judge Hunt was my uncle, and although I grew up only 30 miles away in Talihina, LeFlore County, I never met him. My dad and I once walked to his house, but he wasn't home, so we left. That is as close I came to meeting him.
Does anyone have information about Judge C. R. Hunt? I will appreciate hearing from you.
