Hi, Jeb,

I thought I'd post a few comments on your post here. My later information says that John Wesley Bramlette died in 1947, not 1948. I went to his funeral, but I was only 7 at the time, and didn't remember clearly. The name "Jerry Ellis" is a mistake of mine. Actually, my uncle Jerry was named "Jeremiah Middleton Bramlett" according to his daughter. I am in touch with her again after a fifty-year gap thanks to the information you sent me. My uncle Jess Yarbrough and his sister Hollie Yarbrough are the children of Hettie Ellis from her marriage to a Mr. Yarbrough. She was widowed prior to marrying John Wesley Bramlette. My aunt who married Charles Scroggins was named Nettie Lucille Bramlett (not Nancy) and, so far as I know, always went by Lucille. She is named for her aunt, Nettie Ellis. My father, William Bascome Bramlett (born Bramlette) was born and died in Wilburton, Oklahoma, although he spent many years in Los Angeles -- a lot of that time being homesick for Wilburton.

Mark
