Hamilton Samuel Swinford Edwards born 02 April 1841, in Clay County, Indiana son of Jonathan Edwards and Sarah Cowan. He died October 15, 1918 in Hillsboro, Cain Township, Fountain County, Indiana. He was buried at Dryrun Cemetery. He married 1) Nancy Ann Suiters d/o John and Rachel Tracy Suiters. on February 23, 1861 in Fountain County, Ind. She was born 14 July 1842 in Ind. and died April 16, 1899 in Cain Township, Fountain County, Ind. He married the secondly, Malissa J. Death in September 1904. Then married thirdly, Carrie Nobel Alexander Kellison on 26 June 1918 in Indianapolis, Marion County, Ind. d/o George Alexander. Hamilton and Nancy had the following children:
1. Anna Lousetta Edwards who married Charles Anderson and lived around Kingfisher County, Oklahoma. 2. Louisa Ethel Edwards who married James Corey Murray and lived in Essex, Iowa. 3.**(my husband's line) -- Mary Catherine Edwards who married Alonzo Newton Long and lived in Windsor, Mo for ten years and rest of time in Fountain and Montgomery Counties in Indiana. 4. Fannie Estland Edwards married Robert Lee Cory lived in Waynetown, Ind area. 5) Rachel Elversa Edwards married Charles Thomas Twiddy and lived around Wingate, Ind. 6) William Worth Edwards married Flora M. sanders lived Waynetown, Ind. 7) Celestia Gertrude Edwards married Duly P. Frazier and lived Hillsboro, Ind. 8. Sofrana N. Edwards died young; 9. Daisy Edwards, died young. 10. Infant Edwards


Hamilton Edwards was in the Civil War in the 72nd Indiana Infantry and the Wilder's brigade. Would love to make contact with any family members.
