Hollis Lynn Burner
Hollis Lynn Burner, 63, Hennessey, died Monday morning at Veteran's Hospital in Oklahoma City after a few weeks illness.
Services are at 2 pm today (Thurs) at the First Baptist Church of Hennessey with Rev. Tom Tidwell and Rev. Vida Robinson officiating.
The casket will be open for one hour prior to the service at which time the casket will be closed and remain closed for the service.
Burial will be in the Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Cordry and Son Funeral Home of Hennessey.
Burner was born in Mulhall and moved to Hennessey to Hennessey with his parents at an early age. Burner grew up here and also attended school here.
He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of the I00F Lodge, VFW and a fireman. He was a carpenter and builder in Hennessey for many years.
He and Beatrice Fredregill were married June 25, 1948.
Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters, Mrs. J. C. (Diana) Hooley, Norman, OK., and Pamela Jean Burch, Hennessey; two sons, Hollis (Butch) Burner, Hennessey and Edward (Buddy) Burner, Hennessey; his mother, Mary Burner of Hennessey; nine grandchildren; one brother, Lee R Burner, hennessey and three sisters, Mrs. Ted Ward, Hennessey, Mrs. Harry Roberts, Hennessey and Mrs. Roy Harris, Hennessey.

The Hennessey Town offices will be closed this afternoon (Thurs) beginning at 12:00 noon in memory of Hollis Burner. Burner recently retired from the Hennessey Fire Department and was commended in a Resolution by the Hennessey Town Trustees for his years of service. Funeral sevices for Burner are this afternoon at 2 pm ath the First Baptist Church.
