Fred's body is buried in the Riverview Cemetery in Southwestern Kay County. The Riverside cemetery records indicate he died at Mulhall, Oklahoma, in Logan County. The lots were purchased by James Smith. If he did die at Mulhall, you need to look at the newspapera of Guthrie, Mulhall, or western Payne County, Oklahoma, towns. There may have been a news story in the Tonkawa newspaper but may not have been an obituary. It seems that almost everywhere in the 1920s few obits were published--mostly there were only death notices announcing times of the services. Riverview is not that far from Billings (many people from Nnorthwestern Noble County are buried in that cemetery) or Enid, Oklahoma, newspapers of those towns may have carried an account of Mr. Evans death.
