Mrs. Chadwell Dies After A Long Illness
Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Chadwell, Ponca City, resident for 27 years, died Wednesday at the home of daughter, Mrs. May V. Timmons, 721 South Thirteenth Street after an illness of three months. She was 87 years old.
Mrs. Chadwell was born at Luray, Mo., April 27, 1863. She was married to James Chadwell in Columbus, Kan. in 1879. She came to Ponca City from Canton to live and has been living with her daughter since that time.
She was a member of the Christian Church in Joplin, Mo.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:30 pm in the chapel of Gill funeral home. The Rev. P. T. Stanford will officate. Burial I.O.O.F Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Fred Hoddy, Jessie Griffith, Elwood Aynes, Allen Camp, Bethel Freeman and Bethel Freeman jr.
