Gaddis & Connecting Families

OLD Address:

Researching the Gaddis/Whalin/Chapman/Sheppard/Barnes/Raper families in Johnston County, our Gaddis line dates back to Indian Territory days where we found our grandfather listed with Alice Chapman, 1900 Indian Territory.

I have begun to add photos of this family on my web site, please visit the gedfile and take a look at the photos. If you are connected to any of the families, please contact me. This is all the information I have at the current time on these families. Many more photo's will be added.

Any help will be appreciated as we have been researching these families since 1980. We do have some documents and will share information.

Family members have attempted to block us from researching our families in Tishoming and the surrounding areas, but we are determined to find our grandfather's family.

I knew my grandfather, have many years of memories with him before he died in the early 1960, have his death certificate. My aunt was the informant, so no new information available from those sources. He was a farmer, so he did not qualify for social security, didn't have enough "quarters", nor does he have any military background.

We are quite desperate for information on this family.
