John B. Moran b 1853 TX m Mary Ross>OK

John B. Moran was born September 19, 1853 most likely in Fayette County Texas to Charles H. and Elizabeth (nee Buckholts) Moran. The Charles H. Moran family likely lived in the Plum Grove community at the time of John's birth. Family history indicates John was a horseracing jockey as well as a farmer. He married Mary Ross in November of 1881 in Dallas, Texas. Mary was the daugher of Nathaniel Ross and Suzanne (unknown surname). The John B. Moran family moved to the Choctaw Nation of Indian Territory before 1889. John and seven living siblings along with their mother, Elizabeth Moran, enrolled as members of the Choctaw tribe. John B. and Mary Moran lived in what is now the Coleman area (then Ego, Choctaw Nation, I. T.)which is in the far eastern part of Johnston Co. Oklahoma. John and Mary had three childen--Addie Amazona (m William Newton Overstreet and James Mayo), Charles Nathaniel (m Willie Myrtle Harris), and Robert Ross Moran (m Nora Morehead). I have been unable to locate John B. Moran in the 1880 federal census. I would also like to know his middle name. I would like to know Mary's mother's name. Other surnames related to this Charles H. Moran family by affinity who lived or may have lived in the same area are Holt, Hearrell, Izard and Creecy.
Thank you,
Pat Moran
