My Father, Leftric Peery, taught school in Hughes Co. in 1917 and 1918. He registered for the draft there in 1917 and left there for training in 1918. We found his name listed in the Holdenville papers at three different times, April 13, 1918 for Camp Travis, Texas; May 24, 1918 for Camp Bowie, Fort Worth, Texas and June 14, 1918 for Camp Cody, Deming, New Mexico. I am trying to find out which camp he actual went to. He was in the 90th Division, Infantry #358 Co. F and was in the battle of St. Mihiel. He died in 1934 when I was five years old so I almost did not know him. I was wondering if anyone has done any research on the men who left Hughes Co. for the War.
