My grandpa, John D. Jones "J.D." married someone in the 1920's and then divorced her. I found a divorce record in Hughes Co., for J.D. Jones vs. Rose Jones in 1927 but I do not know if this is mine. His obituary states that he had a daughter, Mary Elizabeth "of California" but no one alive knows anything about her. The divorce record of J.D. and Rose states that no children were born to them. Rose was living in Greer Co. at the time of the divorce. She did not appear at the divorce proceedings. His obituary states that in 1964 he had four grandchildren. I know of only one so Mary Elizabeth had at least three children at that time. I would like to know whom he married and the circumstances of Mary Elizabeth, my aunt. Is there a marriage record in Hughes Co., for a John D. Jones? The family was from the Holdenville area and John lived there until 1959 with my grandma and their only surviving child, Mary Lou. Any help with any of these people is GREATLY appreciated.
