Myrtle Marie Warner Obit
A SAD DEATH
Mrs. Myrtle Warner Tucker was born January 20th, 1886 at Black Rock, Arkansas was married to E.A. Tucker August 20th 1916, died February 1, 1925.
"Leaf by Leaf the roses fade, one by one they droop and die" each day of our lives we see God's word verified. "Boast not thyself of tomorrow for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth." With the dawning of the Lord's day the message, Mrs. Tucker has passed away.
Our hearts were grieved beyond expression, while we knew the beautiful life she had lived and was ready to meet her Master, but her going has left an aching void and a vacancy which seems irreparable. We stand in awe but with our hand in the Fathers, we hear whisper, "The Eternal God is our Refuge, underneath are the everlasting arms." The precious words from our Saviour is the balm of gilead for any troubled heart as He says, "Come unto Me, My Grace is sufficient for thee, My strength is made perfect in weakness." While we sigh for the touch of a vanished hand and the sound of a voice that is stilled, our hands on our mouths as Jesus says, "All things work together for good to those who love the Lord. Thy will be done." May we not rest in His Wisdom, trusting in His word & love. Our Father gathereth the grain when it is ripe in His Providence there are no broken wills or sundered columns. He knoweth what is best for all. In this life our marahs and elims are appointed by Him, who never made a mistake. Our sainted sister was one of the finest characters we ever met; as a daughter sweet, gentle and obedient to the precious mother; as a companion faithful, loyal and true to the devoted and broken-hearted husband; as a mother only the Father knows how well she loved the dear ones He had entrusted to her care and keeping. She was a true and faithful sister. To dear granny, granny Tucker who has been with us 82 years, the burdens were lifted by Myrtle, making life sweeter for her whose sun was setting. She was faithful to the Baptist church, of which she was a member.
Somehow the writer will miss that sweet response on the phone when asked for an extra offering. She was ever ready to give, because she loved. Dear ones...look to Him who says, "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee, Fear not, I will be with thee when thou goest through the waters." Let us emulate the virtues of her beautiful and well spent life, thus making the world sweeter by having lived in it.
May the wistful call of the eternal tomorrow make us faithful to the duties of today and may we with unbroken confidence yield our lives to the light that followeth all the way, to the joy that seeketh us through pain, and to the love that will not let us go. "I know my heavenly Father knows the storms that would my way oppose, He can turn the night to day, And change my darkness into day.My Father know, He knows it all."
