Hello,
I have looked for a long, long time, trying to find my grt grandma. My grandma was born in Indian Territory( Haskell, or Leflore Co. I think) Her name was Pearl Campion, or any of the variations above . She was born in Oct. of either 1891 or 92.. Her dad was supposed to be Thomas N. Campion, from AL, b. abt 1866. My grt grandma died shortly after Pearl was born. Thomas Campion also died about 1901?. I still can not find Pearl's mom, my grt grandma. Can anyone help me, please?? I think my grt grandma was Choctaw, but how do I find out who she was?? I can't find any kind of marriage license anywhere. I don't really know if they got married. My grt grandma was supposed to have died shortly after Pearl was born of "child bed fever". She must have been buried, but I find no Campion woman being buried in late 1891 or 92. Nobody seems to know anything about this lady. Pearl died when she was only about 30, and my mother was a baby then, so my mother never knew anything either. My mother d. in 2004, never knowing who her grandma was. That was sad. I don't really know how to give anymore information. That's about all I know. I am hoping someone has some secret to share with me. Oddly, on my grandma's death certificate, my grandpa wrote' John Evans" for name of my grandma's father. I have no idea about that. I was told T. N. Campion/Champion, Campen, etc. was the dad. If you can find this information, I would be forever grateful. Drina
