I am researching the Beavers family as they are related by marriage to my family. One of these is Martha Angeline Lindsey Stephens Beavers. She was the daughter of Josiah Lindsey and Henrietta Harder Lindsey. Her grandparents were James Harder and Elizabeth Pitt Harder who were my g-g-g-g-grandparents. Martha first married George Stephens shortly following the civil war and then married Sanford Z Beavers in February of 1872. Ultimately they moved to Granite, OK and lived there over three decades. Martha and George apparently had one child, James Edward Stephens (b 1867). Martha and Sanford had two children apparently, Clara and John. JOhn died in 1914 and is buried at Lakeview Cemetery in Hall County, Texas. Clara married Eugene Bassett Campbell in May 1903 and they had seven children (or more). They were Letha, Lloyd, Leora, Lindsey, Troy, David and Verba. Some of them may still be living. Clara died in 1966 in Oklahoma City. Martha Angeline Lindsey Stephens Beavers died on March 15, 1937 and is buried in Granite, OK.

If you have found out any more, I would appreciate hearing about it. I have many Beavers who married into my extended family and all but two I can show come from the same Beavers family. Sanford is one of two exceptions. Other than what I have said above, all I know about him is that he was briefly the post master of Hulver, TX in the 1890s.
