Wiley C. Shaw-murdered about 1921 or 1922

The story in the family is that he was a traveling salesman and was killed in or near Mangum OK. Don't know exact date. it we've narrowed it down to 1921-1923 time frame. Per his granddaughter it was in Jan 1922. Has anyone else heard this story? They were also told he was buried at Mangum. I think the only cemetery then would have been Riverside but don't show him in the listing.

Can someone there check the actual cemetery book to see if he's listed. It may have been in a potters field with no stone.

Wiley was married to Bertha Goad. My grandfather, Bill Goad, was a cousin to Bertha. R.A. Goad Sr. would have been a sister to Bertha. I believe at the time of the incident they both were in Mangum OK. I won't doubt that R.A. Goad helped Bertha pay for the burial.

Thought I'm part of the family, I never heard about Wiley Shaw. Bill Goad was my grandfather and he would visit R.A. Goad Sr in the nursing home several times a week. They were closer than most cousins. They were more like brothers.

I would like to help solve this mystery for Bertha and Wiley's granddaughter, who lives in California.
