I believe am related to the Tatums you wrote about:

my grandmother, Opal Lee Villyard Wilson, was the daughter of Libby Cox Villyard.
Libby, Ruth, Mary Lillie, James Clayton, and Nathaniel were the children of: Ada Phoebe Tatum Cox and Clyde Bollen Cox.
Ada Phoebe, Sarah Lenora (went by Sally or Pete!), Joshua Campbell, and William Shepard were the children of Nathaniel Tatum and Henrietta America Spear Tatum
Nathaniel was one of four boys: Jack, Nat, Luke and George. They were all the sons of William Tatum. William Tatum owned a stagecoach inn in Comanche County. Do we have a match? I know some more, let me know if you're interested.
Thanks,
Robin
