Hi Charles,

Definately the right family! Lucy Baker who married Hardy Norris was the daughter of Andrew Jackson Baker, my G-grandfather. My line is from Elmer Baker's (son of Andrew J. Baker) b.7/11/1892, second marriage. Andrew Jackson Baker had married Mary Jane (Mollie) Sutherlin (Spelled 7 different ways in different papers) in Iuka, MS 8/13/1887.

We have been trying to find where Andrew Jackson Baker came from. We know he had a daughter? by a former marriage, Addie Baker Wagner. However, we can't seem to get any real history on where he came from.

A number of other Sutherlands also made it to Greer County from MS. Including Samuel Ghosen Sutherlin. Mollie had 5 brothers and sisters that we know of. She was the eldest child. At the time of her marriage, her father (James Washington Sutherlin) had passed away and she lived with her step mother (Amanda Frances Adams). Real mother was Amanda's sister, Mary Elizabeth Adams.

Anything more I can learn would be of benefit. Can you tell me how Mackie Moore Sutherland fits in?
