I did find Claude Earl Davis in 1930 Texas U. S. Census, living in Memphis, Hall County. He is indexed as Earl Davis and his birth place is mistakenly listed as Oklahoma. I think it is because he moved to Texas from Oklahoma, which seems to give another indication that the Claud Davis living in Grady Co. OK with Albert and Maude (Davis) Souders is your Claude Earl Davis, as I described in my earlier response to your query.

At least the circumstantial evidence is getting stronger.
