Funeral services for Bert S. Hines, 66 were held Monday afternoon in the Missionary Baptist church, with Rev. T.J. Spence officiating.
Bert S. Hines, son of Mr. and mrs. John Hines was born March 4, 1880 in Grayson county Texas. He was married to Rhoda Elrod, August 29, 1901. To this union 4 sons and one daughter were born.
Mr. Hines has been a resident of Rush Springs for 22 years. He died of a heart attack, January 29, 1947 at his home here.
He is survived by his widow, three sons, Clayton of Wilmington, California; Sgt. Johnny Hines of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania; and Kenneth of the home: one daughter, Mrs. Corrine Bazan of Rush Springs and one brother J.E. Hines of Marlow.
Interment was in the Rush Springs cemetery under the direction of Calloway and Mullican."
