My husband's ggfather stated in his personal journal that he was a U S. Deputy Marshal in the Garvin CO. area in the late 1800's to the early 1900's. His name was WILLIAM HARP. He was also a Methodist preacher in that area at the same time. I am looking for documentation about the U.S. Marshal job. If anyone has info related to Harp, I would really appreciate it.
