NELSONs in Lindsay, OK
Posted by: Julia Nelson Luke (ID *****9929) Date: June 05, 2003 at 14:11:19

Looking for data pertaining to Mrs. Mary J. Nelson and her son L. D. Nelson who supposedly operated a cafe in Lindsay, OK between 1900 and November of 1912.

Mrs. Mary J. Nelson died while visiting her other son, W. T. Nelson in Anadarko, Caddo County, OK on November 03, 1912. Newspaper obituary is vague... Indicates she was accompanied from her home by L. D. Nelson. Mrs. Mary J. Nelson also belonged to the order of Rebekahs... Possibly a membership in Lindsay?

L. D. Nelson lived with his mother and father during the 1900 census in Indian Territory. L. D.'s common name was Lee Nelson. Lee's father is T. B. Nelson, full given name - Thomas Benton Nelson. Are any of Lee's descendants in Lindsay or Garvin County?

Where can I locate cemetery records for Lindsay? Any help greatly appreciated.
