Hi Mary,

I have some information about Henneipn that I copied from a book. I copied it when I first started getting into genealogy and I was too green to write the name of the book down. Anyway, here is what it says....

Hennepin partially in Muray County and partially in Garvin County, was named for "Father" Louis Hennepin of Belgium. He was a member of the La Salle expedition in Louisana and was said to ahve spent a winter at Hennepin, where he established a trading post. A post office was established in 1885. The village today is in ranch country and near the oil field a few miles west.
