I went to the Seiling library and looked for the obituaries of Anna and Jessie Payton Phillips. They are buried in the Shirley Cemetery which is 9 1/2 North of Leedey in Roger Mills County. I found the death announcement of Mrs. Anna Phillips in November 1922 but I did not find any news of Jessie Payton Phillip's death in 1961. This surprised me but then perhaps he had moved out of the area with relatives and when he died they brought him back to Shirley Cemetery to be buried by his wife.
I looked in the Leedey papers. I found the announcement of Anna in "The Leedey Times, Thursday, Nov. 30, 1922 issue. I must get off the computer now because of thunderstorms. I will transcribe the obituary and send it to you when the storms have cleared. Anna was the daughter of W. N. Green and Mrs. Sallie Green and was born in Mississippi.
