Deer Creek Township near Thomas

I am researching my Showalter family who owned a farm in Deer Creek Township near Thomas, Oklahoma.

I don't live in Oklahoma though my grandparents, Edd and Ethel Showalter, lived in Thomas, Oklahoma, so I am not familiar with the lay of the land.

If someone could tell me where Deer Creek Township is situated and how near it is to Thomas, I would be most grateful.

I was looking at Thomas via Google Earth and have not a clue as to which way to go to look for Deer Creek Township. When I enter Deer Creek, Oklahoma into the search engine I am taken to Grant County. I know that they family did not ever live there.

Many thanks,
Susan
