My 2ggrandfather, Oliver Perry Bayne was living in the Creek Nation in 1900. According to family stories he had leased land.
On the 7 June 1900 Census for Creek Co. (looks like 17N, R8, E) he is living w/his wife Mahala and son Chancy. His son B.J. (Beverly James), his wife Dolly and Oliver Perry's grandchildren are living next door.
January 1901 he made a trip to Perkins, Payne Co., OT, became ill and died. Although their are brief mentions of his death in the Payne Co papers I believe the obit from Creek County would give me the genealogy information the others are missing. I think they lived near Olive.
Oliver Perry Bayne d:9 January 1901,
I would greatly appreciate a lookup in the papers of that time or advise.
