I don't know that I can help, although I will try my best.
Do you happen to know if ANY of your family members had a CDIB (Certified Degree of Indian Blood)card through the Cherokee Nation? If so, I highly recommend you going to their site.
You can try the following in your keyword area:
Cherokee Nation Final Dawes Roll
Cherokee Nation in Tahlequah Oklahoma
Cherokee Nation in Durant Oklahoma
What does the sugar ration say? I might could further help with any information you might have. I live in the Bristow area and I too am searching my family genealogy and Indian heritage. So I might be able to help you a little more.
However, if you have no luck with going to any of the above sites here is the name of the researcher I contacted in Tahlequah Oklahoma and she does the Native American research for free and she is good!
Her EMail address is:
If your family is of the Cherokee Nation and did not give up their Indian rights and they enrolled in time, then there should be no problem in finding your ancestors. I hope this helps you a little bit!
Good Luck in your search!
