Searching for descendants of James C. McMillian (born ca. 1847) who was a son of James R. McMillian (10 March 1812-5 October 1868) and his wife, Nancy J. Sparks McMillian (26 October 1817-4 August 1865). James C. McMillian's maternal grandparents were Jesse and Mary Ramage Sparks.

James C. McMillian married Mary C. "Kate" Salmon on 3 March 187 in Lee County, Mississippi. Records indicate that James C. McMillian died ca. 1873. James C. and Mary C. "Kate" Salmon McMillian had a son, James Carroll McMillian (25 December 1873-7 July 1950), who married Emily Bryson "Emma" Epting (25 December 1878-31 August 1964) on 19 December 1898 in Union County, Mississippi.

James Carroll and Emily Bryson "Emma" Epting McMillian migrated to Comanche County, Oklahoma, and lived in Lawton. Their children were: Quana McMillian (24 September 1899-June 1984) married ______ Mitchell; Kitty McMillian (born ca. 1900) married Sanford James Brandon; Cora McMillian (born ca. 1903) married Richard Worsner; James C. Millian (born ca. 1906); and Emma McMillian (born ca. 1910) married Jack Seaman in 1928.
