Prudia J. Williamson Rogers>AR>TX>OK

Looking for information on my gggrandmother Prudia J. Williamson born about 1850 in Arkansas. She married Wilson Rogers on October 30, 1871 in Coryell Co., Texas and they had the following children:
1. William Thomas 1873-1936
2. George Washington b. about 1876
3. Marion A. born about 1879

There may have been other children but these are the only ones I have documentation on.

Prudia and her family migrated to Texas in the early 1850's.

1860 Coryell County Census / Cow House Beat
July 25, 1860
Pg. 49
# 358 - 338
Williamson, Thomas -38-male-Farmer-Georgia
Williamson, Lucinda -34-female-Tennessee
Williamson, Prudy J. -9-female-Arkansas
Williamson, Margaret A. -8-female-Arkansas
Williamson, John -5-male-Texas
Williamson, Thomas J. -3-male-Texas
Williamson, Mary L. -1-female-Texas

Now on the 1880 census Prudia states that her mother was born in Arkansas, so either this is an error or Lucinda was Thomas Williamson's 2nd wife??

In 1909 in Llano Co., Texas Prudia filed a widow's application for pension (Wilson died in 1899) and one of her witnesses was a J.P. Williamson (1860-1938) of Rochelle, McCulloch Co., Texas. Was J.P. related to Prudia J.? Other witnesses included T.G. Hill, G.W. Jackson and E.S. Parkhill. The application was later denied because Prudia married her second husband. Wilson served in the Company H 2nd Texas Infantry. I have no name for her second husband. I believe that Prudia went by her middle name but I cannot
make out the exact letters on my copy of the application but her name is signed Mrs. P. J?????? Rogers. I've been told that Prudia is buried in Cleveland, Oklahoma and that her granddaughter Verna Rogers Berryman lived in Cleveland as well. Verna was born in Llano County in 1909 and died in Cleveland in 1995.

If you have any information on this Rogers/Williamson line please contact me at nwiebe@dashlink.com
