Looking for W.J. Wood and N.A. Wood, George W. Wood, Thomas P. Wood, Nannie A. DAY, Kate OWENs.

George W. Wood buried in GOODWATER CEMETERY 1898 was married to Lucy Lela GORRELL,WOOD,CORN. Thomas P. WOOD was married to her sister Georgia M. GORRELL and Kate GORRELL,OWENS was their mother.

W.J. Wood and N.A. Wood (Nancy or Nannie A. DAY)

WOOD family members ran a Post office and General Store at WOODSTOWN down by SHOALS until 1948. Legend has it that they came from Tennessee three brothers married Choctaw Indian Women, on the Census's it shows mixed blood.

Thomas P. WOOD and George W. WOOD and Kate GORRELL,OWENS all were married in LAMAR CO. TEXAS 1894,96.

Looking for informtion on them and also GOODWATER CEMETERY,
now on private property but in 1898 was not. Most of the Wood family have WOODSMEN Markers.

George R. WOOD and Janie Lake,WOOD are buried in SHoals, George is the Son of George W. Wood and Lucy Lela GORRELL,WOOD.

The WOOD family are some of the original pioneers of that area, before Hugo was in existance. Everidge,Grant,Shoals, Frogville etc. Have census information, buriel on most
