Hi,

Probably the least expensive way to verify this information is to go to your local library and ask them for inter-library transfer of the newspaper microfilm.

Death certificates weren't required in Oklahoma until 1908 so I don't think you'll find one. However, if you want to pursue that angle, you can contact the Oklahoma State Dept Health Vital Records Service, www.ok.gov/health/Birth_and_Death_Certificates.

You can also contact the Oklahoma Genealogical Society, www.ofgensoc.org/services.htm who has an extension collection of microfilmed newspapers and will do research. Successful Searching!
