Seeking information on Mary Massey, b 12/18/1833, d 5/18/1899. She married David Nelson Owens, b 4/10/1899. Owens was in the 31st Ill Infantry Co. "C", and it is said was involved in the relocation of the Cherokee Nation to the Oklahoma Indian Territory (family stories). It is passed around our family that either Mary or her mother, don't know her name, was the daughter of a chief. Mary is my GGG Gramdmother.
They had several children, Mary Louisa Owens was born 1/3/1865 in the Indian Territory, d 3/13/1923 and is my GG Grandmother.

Mary Massey Owens is buried in the Greenwood Cem. in Dallas Texas

Mary Louisa is buried in Mesa Arizona

Any information would be helpful

Thanks
