In 1892, Mary I. STEWART CROWNOVER married John E. Payne according to a posting of Marriage Book 1 for Llano county, TX.
Mary was the widow of Chesney CROWNOVER who she married in Feb 1884 according to marriage Book 1.

Chesney died 8 Jul 1889 in Llano County.

Then in 1900, Mary, age 41 is living with her father, FARIS STEWART and the census indicates she is again a Widower. They are living in Chickasaw Co., Indian Territory.

In 1920 I found her in CARTER COUNTY, OK.

She had 4 children; In the census they are identified as:
Alma J. CROWNOVER, b. Feb 1885
Charley D or E. PAYNE, b. Feb 1887 91900) - Chester CROWNOVER, age 32 in 1920 Census.
Henry F. PAYNE, b. Sep 1889 (Based on her husband death this child is also a (Crownover)
James David PAYNE, b. 13 Oct 1893

1920 CENSUS: Acker Twshp., Carter Co., OK; Series: T625, Roll: 1455, Page: 15, Line 81, HouseHold 120/120; Mary J. PAYNE, age 60, born in Texas, Chester CROWNOVER, son 32, born in Texas and Alma J. CROWNOVER, daughter, age 35, born in Texas.

I haven't located her or her families after 1920, so she may have died in Carter County sometime after 1920.

The only one of her children that I have been successful in tracing is JAMES DAVID PAYNE, son of Mary & John E. PAYNE.
He settled in Hinton, Caddo Co., OK and is buried there in the Hinton Cemetery.

I need some help with these families. If you can provide any clue or information abouts these families it would be greatly appreciated. Would love to know when Mary died and where she is buried.
