You probably have already been to the courthouse in Ardmore by now, but I thought I would post anyway. I was in Ardmore (three times) earlier this year (2007). Yes the the records from the court clerk's office are in the old jail. And yes, the public can access them. They tell you how to get there and "about" where the records might be. You just have to go look. Be prepared to get dirty, take a flashlight and bugspray (to keep the mites off you) and by all means wear old clothes as you really get dirty searching through the old records.

And yes, I'm from your highschool.
