Thanks, Carol, for the information. I am not sure if this is the Andrew Couch I am looking but it sure is close. Andrew was born in Ark. in 1838; the 1870 Census says he was born in Texas in 1840 but the fact he had a child with him, John, b. 1867, and 1n 1880 he had a son John b. 1867 makes me think that this is him. He wasn't married until 1872 in Cooke Co., Texas. The 1870 Census says John was born in Ark. I know that Andrew Couch served in the llth Texas Calvary during the Civil War and enlisted in Grayson Co., Texas (next to Cooke Co.) and was released in 1865. I am not sure why he would be in Arkansas in 1870 and the people he was living with are not known to me. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Kay Notify Administrator about this message?
