COLUMBUS CHAMBERS of Bussey and daughter, MRS. GATES of Melrose, were calling on their old friends in this city yesterday.

My Note: This daughter would have been FLOY CHAMBERS, who married CLAUDE M. GATES

The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa
Thursday, November 30, 1905

MR. and MRS. C. CHAMBERS of Bussey and their son, LOU CHAMBERS, and family of Yukon, Oklahoma, returned to Bussey Wednesday after a visit at the home of MR. and MRS. J.H. ALLEN at LaGrange, and at the Record's hangout in this place. LOU CHAMBERS is a LaGrange product and while he did not fully mature in that place and Melrose, having been away for the past ten years, LOU's size, grace, gentlemanly manners and business ways goes to show that the best and finest originate in this vicinity. LOU has also a fine wife and helpmate whom he married while living in Missouri and to them have been born three bright little children, a boy, and two daughters. MR. C. met many of his boyhood friends while on his stay.

-- MELROSE RECORD.

My Note: COLUMBUS CHAMBERS married SARAH JANE ANSPACH. LOUIS ANSPACH CHAMBERS married ANNE STUART -- I don't know who their children were, as mentioned above.

MR. & MRS. J.H. ALLEN would have been JOHN H. ALLEN who married ELSIE CHAMBERS.

The earlier CHAMBERS came from Scott Co., Kentucky and Bartholomew Co., Indiana...They went to Marion Co., Iowa, Lucas Co., Iowa and Greene Co., Iowa -- and Clarke Co., Iowa.
