My Grandmother, Edith Jirlden Hayes Tippens, had family from around Platter and Calera. Her sister was Lucy Hayes. There was a Roy Thompson in Calera that my aunt told me about but I can't remember if he was a nephew or cousin. If you have any information on the Hayes or Thompson that might help me in my research I would really appreciate it.
My Grandmother was killed in Elk City, Dec. 1964, in a car/train accident, my Grandfather Alcy D. Tippens(my father's father), her daughter Nancy and my Grandfather's nephew and niece were also killed in this accident.
