Johnson/Pilgrim

I know I am asking the impossible with a name like Johnson, but would sure like to find out something about my grand-parents. My dad, James Jefferson Johnson was born in 1902 at Kemp, Bryan County Oklahoma. His dad's name was either Robert or William Johnson, his mother, was believed to be Cherokee Indian, by the name of Mattie (Pilgrim) Johnson. Mattie and her family came from South Carolina, and my dad had a younger sister, Nora Sue Johnson. In 1910, Mattie was in Fannin County Texas, just across the Texas/Oklahoma line and married a Charles Victor Berger. I don't know what happened to my grandfather Johnson. This is the extent of my knowledge on my grandfather. Can anyone help me???? Mary
