The only high schools in Beaver County were Balko, Beaver, Forgan and Turpin at the time tou mention. In 1856, there were schools in Gate and Knowles. Laverne in Harper County has some transfer students from Beaver County, and a few others may have paid tuition and attended schools in Texas or Kansas. Lots of students from the southern part of Beavver County went to muh closer Texas schools until Oklahoma or Texas would not allow it anymore.
