I talked with Mother before reading your message and she corrected me. It was my dad that went to school at Surprise instead of her. She went to Happy Hollow. She might know the story behind the name though. I will ask her. She has a Beaver County History book that was published several years ago that might tell me the story if she doesn't know.

The location the man gave you sounds about right. I don't have road names or numbers. Might be able to get them sometime. We left there in the 50's but still have a couple of aunts out there. They might know the names of the roads.

The Surprise church was renamed Mountain View. I don't know when but am pretty sure it was going by that name at least in the 60's. I understand the church is no longer open but in recent years had been turned into a Bed and Breakfast. I don't know if it is still open or not. Thought I might try to find it on the internet but unless they used the Mt. View name I doubt if I will know it. But like I say, I have been there and the directions you have are about right.

I'll send this on and go back and re-read your message. Don't know if I answered everything I intended to or not.
Memory! :)
