My grandmother's name was Agnes O'Hearn. Her parents were from Ireland. She was placed in an orphanage (I believe in New York - I'm not sure how old she was at the time) and adopted by a mr. and mrs. Thomas when she was about 2 years old. They then moved to Minnesota. Agnes later married Frank Marek from Vesily, Minnesota.
I'd like to find out more about her real parents. If anybody has any information, I'd love to hear from you.
