Hello!! Our names are Dave and Linda Heron, and we are excited to announce our new Heron Surname DNA Project at World Families Network. DNA testing is one of the most powerful tools available to genealogists. DNA research can break down brick walls when nothing else can – even when the documentary evidence conflicts or the paper trail comes to an end. DNA test results help genealogists verify their paternal ancestry (father’s father).
We would like to invite you to join if you are in a direct paternal line to the Heron surname or its many variants -- Hairun, Heiron, Heroun, Herne, Herne, Hearn, Hearne, Hearon, Herran, Herrin, Herron, Herring, Harron, O Hearain, O hArain, O Haron, O Heron, McElheron, MacElheron, etc... If you are female and would like to participate you may act as a representative of a male descendant of the Heron (or its name variants) lineage.
The objective of this Heron Project is to:
1. Trace the various lineages found around the world back to a common ancestor -- Heron lineages have been located in Jamaica, Australia, Scotland, Ireland, England and North America;
2. Identify our ancestors’ migration routes;
3. Reconnect our Heron families and extend our pedigrees.
