James P. O'Hara
James P. O'Hara of Lake Villa Funeral services for James P. O'Hara, 75, formerly of Lombard, will begin at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, at Ringa Funeral Home, 122 S. Milwaukee (Route 83) Ave. (two blocks south of Route 132/Grand Ave.), Lake Villa, then proceed to Prince of Peace Church for a 10 a.m. funeral Mass. Interment will be in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home. Born in Chicago, March 15, 1933, the son of the late Margaret and Thomas O'Hara, he passed away Oct. 8, 2008, at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington. Jim was a veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict in the Army. He lived in Lake Villa for the past 18 years and served as a member of the Police Commission in Lake Villa. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and also a member of the Antioch 885 Civic Club. He is survived by his by his wife, Nancy, whom he married Sept. 8, 1990; children, Jeanmarie Waterfield of Joliet, Michael O'Hara of Tennessee, John (Tina) O'Hara of Alabama, Elizabeth (Jeffery Hardison) Guastella of Batavia, Thomas (Tracy) O'Hara of Tennessee and Diana (Robert) Solis of Prairie Grove; 12 grandchildren; and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Eugene; and sister, Melita Bruce. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial to the American Cancer Society.
