I am interested in John Wiles listed on the 1880 census. Also found this marriage listing for John Wilds and family tradition says this Elizabeth Deringer was John Wiles' wife.

Thank You,

William Wyles, born December 18, 1906 in Mansfield, Lancaster Co, PA, said that: "John Wiles, his grandfather, and Elizabeth Deringer were divorced sometime after 1884. The five children were put into a Catholic orphanage in Cleveland, OH area. The children's names were misspelled as WYLES at the orphanage. He said that his father and his father's sister left the orphanage and his grandfather came to Lancaster Co, PA because a lady he knew wanted him to drive her there. He said his grandfather, John Wiles, was a trainer for the famous pacer, Dan Patch."
