Thanks for responding. The Daniel in Brothersvalley, Somerset Co., PA was my g-g-great grandfather. Right after the census he gathered his family and moved to Stark Co., OH where his brother Jacob already was. They were both born in Berks Co., PA. I'm trying to figure out if D. K. BROUGHER is Daniel BROUGHER, Anna's father. There was, also, a John BROUGHER who could be her father. I've been studying every BROUGHER/BRAUCHER I could find for years now and have just recently come across a line from North Carolina. I know of a Jacob BROUGHER who left NC with his family and died on his way to Indiana. He was "my" Daniel and Jacob's uncle. There are traces of a John BROUGHER there at the same time but I don't know what connection he was to the others and didn't know that he had left any descendents except for a daughter.
Thanks again for your help!
