I checked my index of the 1910 Wood Co. census, and there is no MELLON listed, but there are several GOBEL listings. Four are in Bloom Twp., which is in the southern part of Wood Co.: Albert, Chas A., Solomon, and John. Perhaps one of these is the father of the unknown spouse. There is also a listing for a GOBLE family at the Rutherford B. Hayes Library site; it mentions a family Bible. There are two obits for GOBLE family members at the Wood Co. District Public Library site, one died in the late 1800s and the other in the 1930s, I believe. You may have some luck searching for the marriage record in Hancock Co., since it is close to Bloom Twp. Church records are also useful- the Jerome Library in Bowling Green has records of many of the churches in N.W. Ohio. Your best bet is to start with the known facts, and move backward in time.
