Hi Barb,

I need to correct an error in my research. It has come to my attention that Elizabeth Richey and George W. Perkey were divorced. I do not know what happened to George after their divorce in November of 1848 in Williams County, OH. Information on this divorce may be read at the Williams County Genealogical Society webpage <>. After the divorce Elizabeth Richey Perkey did marry Cyrenus Palmer.

There is no proof that Abraham was a son of Peter. I base my assumption on the fact that Peter was named the guardian of Abrahamís young children when Abraham died in 1823. Also, the only Richeyís males at the estate sale were PETER, JACOB, and MICHAEL. Peter was the only one old enough to be the father of the other two- Jacob and Michael. They were all in Butler Township.

When Peter died in 1829, Jacob was the administrator of his estate. Case #1141 CP 1 Pg 245. I do have Peterís probate file and will be happy to send it to you, if you contact me.
