Carole, thank you so much. Yes this does help me a lot! This is my step gggrandmother. i don't know who the "M" could be... she was marreid 3 times, and that doesn't match with any husbands! she was married to my gggrandfather joseph dixon for 20 years, but they didn't have any children together. they lived on a farm at one time in edgerton according to an article "gunsmiths of Ohio" thati have lost....i can't imagine why they were not buried together. in magdalenas oituary, only her children were mentioned and not josephs children who were still living, and some very near to magdalena. it mentioned that magdalena took care of her invalid husband joseph for many years, and that they owned a boarding house. joseph lived with my ggrandma susan in 1850 williams co ohio and 1860 steuben co ind then marriedMgdalena ritchie in 1871 in st joseph twp williams co ohio. i had thought that there was a partial stone nearby with joseph or dixon/dixkson on it... wishful thinking i suppose. i appreciate so much your help carole carol
